Margaret’s House provides supportive housing and community support for at-risk homeless individuals living with mental illness challenges. The Winchester Street location offers 35 permanent, self-contained dwelling units housed in Heritage designated buildings in Cabbagetown. Surrounded by a mix of canopy trees, understory trees and shrub plantings, the backyard is designed to provide a range of safe and semi-private spaces for residents to be immersed in a diverse natural environment. Vegetable planters in the front yard offer an opportunity to connect with the community.
